Our Zambezi Catchment Regional Office participated in the 2026 World Water Day at Nachumba Primary School in Namwala District, Southern Province.
The event, officiated by the Provincial Minister, Hon. Credo Nanjuwa, MP, included a tree planting activity to promote environmental conservation.
In his keynote address, the Minister highlighted the critical role of water in sustaining livelihoods, supporting economic development, and improving public health.
He also underscored the need for inclusive water solutions, equitable access for women and girls, and investments in water infrastructure to build resilience against climate challenges.
During the celebration, WARMA emphasized the importance of sustainable water management.
The Authority called for strong partnerships and active community engagement to promote responsible water use and strengthen resilience against climate-related challenges.
