Dr. John Eudes Lengwe Kunda – Chairperson, WARMA Board of Directors

Dr. Kunda is a distinguished scholar and corporate leader, bridging public health, communications, and sustainable development, with extensive expertise in driving policy, institutional growth, and stakeholder engagement across both the public and private sectors.

He has a notable career in the water and sanitation sector as well as in HIV/AIDS programs, having held senior leadership positions including Senior Manager – Corporate Affairs at ZESCO Limited, Director of Communications and Sanitation at the Millennium Project Completion Agency Zambia, and Communications Specialist for PEPFAR Zambia. He is currently Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Konkola Copper Mines plc (KCM), where he provides strategic leadership, corporate governance, and stakeholder engagement.

Dr. Kunda holds a PhD in Culture, Communications, and Media Studies, a Master’s in Communications for Development, and has completed multiple postdoctoral fellowships and professional trainings in the USA, UK, France, and South Africa.

As Board Chairperson at WARMA, Dr. Kunda provides strategic leadership and policy oversight, leveraging his expertise in communications, corporate governance, and development partnerships to strengthen the Authority’s visibility, stakeholder engagement, and institutional growth. His guidance ensures that WARMA effectively integrates best practices in sustainable water resource management, community engagement, and institutional development.
