Mr. Joseph Jimu Daka – Board Member (Commercial Agriculture and Water User Representative)
Mr. Daka is an accomplished agribusiness professional with extensive experience in both crop and livestock farming. He co-founded Damust Farms Limited in 1996 and expanded it from 15 hectares to 1,300 hectares, with 550 hectares under irrigation. His enterprise specializes in seed maize, wheat, and soya beans and integrates livestock production.
Mr. Daka has also served as Board Chairperson of Nkumbi International College, contributing to agricultural education and skills development.
On the WARMA Board, Mr. Daka represents the Zambia National Farmers’ Union (ZNFU), providing strategic insights into water use efficiency, irrigation systems, and sustainable farming practices. His expertise ensures that WARMA’s policies are responsive to commercial agricultural producers while safeguarding national water resources, supporting food security and rural economic development.
